Sunday Setlist Dec 11

O Come, All Ye Faithful

Our God

Everlasting God

O Come, O Come Emmanuel

One more week with all kinds of tech issues that aren’t resolved until minutes before the Service…..ugh!

AND, as in the past weeks, the Service was special.

I don’t know how our Pastor is doing it, though……

Sunday Setlist Dec 4

WELL.  This Sunday was challenging, to say the least.  We had tech issues by the boatload.

I really practiced letting it be in HIS Hands; giving the Service to Him.

We used partial tracks for the first time and I think it went really well.  I know the worship team felt more comfortable with a more full sound, which allows us to rest in worship, in the lyrics -

and, we had many visitors yesterday!

The worship set -

Joy to the World (Unspeakable Joy)

New Doxology

Our God

Emmanuel

The music went well, our two new young women really add alot!

Thank You God, for calling me to serve You.  I am still amazed You Called me.

Disability

This is a rare midweek post for me.  I feel the need to say this word out loud though and learn where it fits in my life.

and take it’s power away.

Disablility.

I now have a fairly significant breathing disability.

measured

documented

permanent

and new in my life.

It really impacts my life, the livelihood that I am ‘used’ to earning, my passions (singing, sports).

It has changed my sense of self, my energy level, my physical look, my self-esteem.

It will take some time to get acquainted with this new phase of my life; time to learn my new boundaries,  what job I will end up doing, how I will find the balance of what I ‘was’ and who I am.

I promised my husband ONE thing when we got married – life with me would not be boring.

I should have warned myself!

Sunday Setlist Nov. 27

Well, our little Church continues to struggle – so many equipment issues that we can’t afford to fix,  it is not funny; we don’t have anyone really educated on using it, so we still have tech glitches; yet He continues to show up.

And, that after all, is the point!

Today I had two young ladies join the platform for the first time.  Wonderful voices, wonderful servant hearts.  Thank You God!!!

We used all tracks today…

You Never Let Go

Mighty To Save

New Doxology

O Come, O Come Emmanuel

we did harmonies, the ‘girls’ really started to relax. I would say ‘with time’ there may be some real worship leader material here, but that would lessen how good they were this morning!

Again, thank You God – several times this morning, you helped me stay in the moment, the place, with You.

I am amazed at how You love me.

Sunday Setlist #171

Just a God-Moment to share, first -
I had been feeling really prodded to say someting along the lines of ‘If you have walked in here, no matter whether you believe in Christ or not, you no longer have to be alone’….I shared a bit more on that…..at the end of the Worship Set, as I leave the platform to take a seat, this BIG guy (who occasionally comes to church) comes up to me, in tears, and said that he had forgotten that a long time ago. I found out later his mom died this past week, while I was at RefugeSSI. THANK YOU GOD
Our set list
Welcome Song – Pocket Full of Rocks
Open the Eyes of My Heart
You Take Me Just the Way I Am (Gateway)

I shared just as we went into Open the Eyes of My Heart…..we only had two keyboards and the three of us lady vocalists, but He is so at work.
Prayers for the first time I do the worship set totally alone in two weeks – RefeguSSI folks will recognize the ‘low-light, candle’ theme I have decided to use……..

Return from RefugeSSI

Ya know, He has Blessed me.

With people and opportunities to listen and learn.

With chances to see some beautiful places.

With time for Paul and I.

With wonderful worship opportunities.

With chances to renew – to refresh – to regroup – to hear what He is saying and to have others help me to have to strength to follow Him.

and, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, with music.

Music is my language, my lifeblood, the one way in which I can’t guard myself, when I am most me.  most joyful, most real, most open and honest.

The music these days was, once more, the wedge to the doors I have and this time it really went deep.

I am confused, restored, stirred and more in love with my Lord than ever.

Thank you to all who attended.  It does not matter if we had a chance to speak, we were Shalom.

Thank you for that!

Sunday Setlist 10-3-2011

Well, another Service which just emphasized what happens when hearts are gathered for Him.

After how they felt, for how long, these services are such a blessing!!!!!

AND, for the first time in MONTHS, we had a full band – guitar, bass, drums, two keyboards, two vocals and two background vocals.

It was SWEEEETT!!!

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) – Tomlin

O, For A Thousand Tongues to Sing – Crowder version WITHOUT the bridge…maybe once the congregation really has the song, we will add the bridge…

Again and Again – and the congregation hollered after this!!! HOLLERED!  in Vermont!!!

Thank You Father.  You kept telling me to stay at Grace when all I wanted to do was get out of Dodge and wasn’t even being allowed to serve.  Thank You for Your Leading me.

Sunday Setlist – 9-25-2011

Wow, nothing short of wow.  How He is Working in my church. The abrupt quitting of our pastor and the lead team leaving with him left huge holes in our small church that I spoke of earlier this summer…the learning curve for our new sound and video people, the band cut down to nearly nothing – yet, how He is Working!  Sundays have been so blessed the last month.  No matter how small the band, or how bad the rehearsal with sound and video, the Services are just inspiring from start to finish.  I have never been part of anything like it!  Thank you God!!!

From the Inside Out

Hungry

Jesus, Messiah

and that is it for today!

Sunday Setlist 9/11/11

Wow.  There are not words to explain today’s Service.  never had anyone tell me I said something annointed before – and it was through the whole place, the whole Service.

He is healing my church, from the inside out, with love.  We have dug in to be the hands and feet in our flood-hurt town and He was smiling today.

The music -

Holy is the Lord

My Savior, My God

Center – just the chorus, which we used as a repeated section  - prayed/exhorted during part of it -

God of This City

I love when I leave a service changed……..

10 days after the flood

I don’t even know where to begin – so, the beginning of when we knew it was more than a high Dog River?

And, it just kept rising.

My brother’s home and the water wasn’t quite done -

it ended up at the top of the garage door.

So many homes of the working poor in this town were terribly damaged.

Then the town showed up.

and Norwich University, with 150 Cadets showed up.

and people kept coming and coming.  10 days later, are still coming.

It didn’t matter if they knew each other or not.

people have mucked out, dragged out, rinsed off, ripped down – and those of us with respiratory stuff that keeps us away have collected clothes, watched children, made meals.

I haven’t heard ONE SINGLE COMPLAINT or ONE PERSON TRYING TO GET CREDIT.

I have been a witness to the awesome power of nature – and, now the awesome power of the human spirit.

Thank You, for that beauty in all this muck.
